Chandigarh, October 16: – The Finance and Contract Committee of Municipal Corporation under the Chairmanship of Smt. Poonam Sharma, Mayor and attended by Mrs. Bhawna Garg, IAS, Commissioner and other members of the committee namely Sh. Babu Lal, Sh. Surinder Bahga and officers of MC Mr. Rajiv Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Mr. Virender Chaudhary, Joint Commissioner, Sh. Mukesh Anand, Chief Engineer and other senior officers of Municipal Corporation.

The F&CC discussed other various agenda items of development and accorded approval to following agenda items:

1. The committee has approved the agenda item regarding installation of biometric attendance in the office of Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.47 lacs.
2. Agenda item regarding disposal of 43 shops/sites in villages, the committee members decided that the tenements will be given two months notice for clearing remaining dues and if they want to continue, then they have to pay rent as per market rate in future.
3. The committee also discussed and decided that extension will be given to kiosk No. 2 (Chinese food) and kiosk No.4 (North Indian food) at Night Food street, Sector 14 and possibilities be explored to make the food street 24×7 hours.
4. Regarding 4 shops at Japanese Garden, Sector 31, the committee has accorded approval to licensing out the shops to disabled persons on draw of lot pattern for a period of 2 years extendable for one year at a cost of Rs. 1500/- per month and the allotment will be done as per the guidelines of Social Welfare Department, UT, Chandigarh.
5. The committee referred the agenda item regarding reserve price of paid parking area of Piccadilly multiplex-II, Sector 34 and sector 43, Himalaya Marg to the General House meeting.
6. The committee also approved the agenda item regarding diwali mela and winter carnival at sector 34 through draw of lots and fresh policy regarding permission for display of stalls in the city.
7. The committee also accorded approval for auction of left out sites of the old car bazaar, sector 7-C and fixed the reserve price Rs. 4 lacs for each site.
8. Purchase of Computers for the different wings of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.10.57 lacs.
9. Rough cost estimate for B/I one no.12”x8” (304.80×203.20 mm) i/d deep bore tube well in lieu of abandoned t/well (with rig method or any method of latest technology & other contingency work near Green Belt, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.42.75 lacs.
10. Renewal of License (Agreement) of Chandigarh Washer man Workshop Cooperative (Regd.) Industrial Society Ltd., Sector 15-D, Chandigarh.
11. Celebration of 29th Chrysanthemum Show-2015 at an estimated cost of Rs.8.07 lacs.
12. Agenda regarding rough cost estimate for purchase of two nos. 8 c.m. box tipper on SK 1613/36 with 697 engine BS III on DGS & D R/C for use in Horticulture Division, M.C. Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.30.43 lacs.
13. Rough cost estimate for Providing and laying 30 mm thick bituminous concrete on V-6 road in Sector 28-C, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs. 42.93 lacs.
14. Rough cost estimate for re-carpetting of V-5 road in Sector-9, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.40.09 lacs.
15. Providing Street Lights on V-5 road, Sector 21-A,B,C & D, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.45.37 lacs.
16. Agenda regarding purchase of JCB 3DX excavator-cum-loader for use in Horticulture Division, M.C., Chandigarh (Under Landscaping) at an estimated cost of Rs.24.77 lacs.
17. Rough cost estimate for providing and fixing of M.S flat iron railing M.S Gate & Benches on Vigyan Path on side of Sector 2 & 3, Chandigarh (Under Landscaping) at an estimated cost of Rs.24.41 lacs.
18. Rough cost estimate for the work of “Providing and Fixing of air conditioners in the Community Centre, Sector-15, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.17.89 lacs.
19. Agenda regarding purchase of Power Lawn Mower for use in Horticulture Division, M.C., Chandigarh (Under Landscaping) at an estimated cost of Rs.9.17 lacs.
20. Providing 04 Nos. 12.5 Mtr. Long High Mast in Green Belt, Maloya, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.15.33 lacs.
21. Purchase of Computers and Printers for the different wings of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.8.24 lacs.
22. The committee members passed the Rough cost estimate for the work of “Providing RCC NP-3 pipe sewer of 450 mm dia near Shamshan Ghat & other allied work thereto at village Dadu Majra, U.T., Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.25.48 lacs subject to the co-ordination with the UT Administration.
23. Procurement of additional 300 no. of waste bins of tilting type of virgin grade 4 mm thick PVC material.
24. Agenda regarding Development of Green belt Sector 39 & 40, Chandigarh (Landscaping) at an estimated cost of Rs.34.78 lacs.
25. Rough cost estimate for renovation of main office of District Registrar (Birth and Deaths) in 30 Bays Building, Sector 17, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs.18.44 lacs.
