Gujarat University will publish the first allotment list (final merit list) for admissions to 5-year Integrated Law Programs today on 24th June. The final merit list will display the allotment status of the registered candidates for the programs including B.A.LL.B, B.Com.LL.B and B.B.A.LL.B being offered at Center of Legal Education affiliated to the University. Gujarat University has constituted Gujarat University Admission Committee to regulate the admission to various programs offered by the University affiliated institutions and just like the other courses, the Committee invited applications from Law aspirants for admission into 5-year Integrated Law programs. The Admission Committee is holding admission to the all the sanctioned seats of the programs excluding 25% management quota in each Center of Legal Education. The candidates who had passed the qualifying examination with minimum 45% marks in aggregate were invited to fill up the application form.
Based on the applications filled, the provisional merit list for Law programs was published by the Committee on 19th June and the candidates were given two days (21 & 22 June) to report the errors in the provision merit list. As per the notified schedule, Gujarat University final merit list will be published today which also includes the publication of first allotment list.
Gujarat University merit list of the candidates who have applied for admission will be prepared by taking into account the percentage of marks obtained in Theory subjects in the Board examination. For resolving the merit among candidates having equal merit marks, the marks obtained in English subject will be considered. If the tie still remains, the aggregate marks of SSC examination and date of birth will be considered for determination of merit.
The candidates were also required to indicate the order of choices (minimum 5 choices) of programs and Centers of Legal Education online. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, choice of the candidate, category and availability of seats, Gujarat University said in a statement. The candidates allotted a seat will have to take the print out of the Information Letter and Bank Fee Receipt copies from the website.
After the publication of Gujarat University allotment list, the candidates will have to produce the Admission Offer Letter, receipt of Fee issued by bank, all original documents and testimonials for verification at the alloted Center of Legal Education within the specified time limit. If a candidates wants to wait for the reshuffling round and does not want to secure admission at the allotted center, he/she must report at the allotted center of legal education for the declaration of same. At the reshuffling option, the candidate had to opt for the other Center giving fresh options/ choices.
The candidates allotted a seat will have to deposit the tuition fee in the Bank and secure admission by reporting at the Allotted Center on or before 29th June. The academic term will commence from 1st July, while the vacant seats remaining after the first allotment round will be displayed on 3rd July. The candidates who wish to opt for reshuffling option, will have to enter fresh options on 3rd July and the second allotment list will be published on 5th July.
