Hands-on Training Workshop on Capacity Building organized by DAV Colleg: One day hands-on Training workshop was organized by DAV College, Chandigarh, under the aegis of RUSA on September 21, 2019. Dr. Pawan Kumar, Principal of DAV College stated that research have always been playing a crucial role in the overall development of humanity.
He welcomed Dr. Sumit Narula, who was the speaker for the event. Dr. Sumit Narula, Director, Department of Communication and Media Studies, Amity University, Gwalior stressed on the authenticity of research and gave a hand on training on the theme “Research, Publication and Intellectual Property rights”.
Many teachers and students from the college participated in the event. The program highlighted the immensely basic and fundamental aspects of research. Nowadays, a special emphasis and priority is given to research in recruitments and promotions at various levels.
Faculty members were provided information about the important tools and software’s utilized in research, which are of utmost importance in the current times. Many critical details pertaining to publications, citations, journal metrics were also discussed. Questions and queries were taken up in the last session. Dr. Sumittar Singh Walia, from department of English gave vote of thanks to the speaker.
