(HMSI), today revitalized the sports motorcycle portfolio, announcing the availability of new exciting 2015 versions of CBR250R and CBR150R. First unveiled at the RevFest 2015, the new models of CBR250R and CBR150R are an extension of Honda’s commitment of heralding the ‘fun-motorcycling’ culture in India. Ingrained with Honda’s global legacy in motorsport, the new models allow it to further cement its foothold in the premium segment amongst motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

The new look CBR 250R packs in a host of features along with sporty graphics and exciting colors that are set to leave the audience spell bound while the CBR 150R has always been the heart throb of the young Indian enthusiast. Both CBR 250R and CBR 150R feature perfect sports uniform with full fairing, while expressing the vigor with all the essentials of aerodynamics in its design. The layered style fairing routes airflow for both engine cooling & rider comfort. CBR 150R also boasts of racing inspired stripes, which gives it a true sports character & head turning looks.

The 2015 versions retains the unique ‘Y’ shaped headlights inspired from Honda’s new generation sports. The functional upper cowl of CBR 250R not only adds to sports character of the bike but also boosts the turning ability of the vehicle enhanced through air outlets provided at left & right side. The design of instrument panel are futuristic. The CBR 250R includes a sweep function when switch on, an analog tachometer placed at centre and silver coated LCD area beneath with an elegant blue backlight. A striking sports meter with innovative instruments on CBR 150R offers a full range of information while the analog tachometer placed at center to show the pulse of the bike.

A hugger fender equipped to stop mud & water splash are a boon on Indian roads, while wide tubeless tyres provides great handling as well as bring the sports concept of the bike. A stainless steel made black coated elegant muffler, a short silencer with pentagonal section reflects the cutting edge design and also enhances the sporty looks of the CBR 150R and accentuates its side view.

Advanced Technology – Combined ABS

The C-ABS version of CBR 250R was launched along with the motorcycle; Honda pioneered the Combined ABS which offered big help in making controlled stops. It generates a braking force ideally distributed between front and rear wheels. Moreover, the anti-lock brake system prevents wheel locking during sudden braking under tough riding conditions, which enhanced the respective effects widening the safety net. Equipped with a five position preload adjuster that can be adjusted according to rider’s preference; and a light and compact Pro-Link suspension to demonstrate “progressive damping characteristic,” the new CBR 250R ensure a comfortable and stable ride. The revolutionary PGM- Fuel Injector technology on the CBR 250R and CBR 150R senses the weather conditions, throttle position, engine oil temperature, and the temperature of intake air etc. injecting the right amount of fuel for best combustion by riders demand, leading to better mileage, low emission and drivability. Both the bikes also come endowed with the liquid cooling capability that gives riders the benefit of a continuous high performance and less noise compare to air cooled engine. Other technological advancements include – double overhead camshaft engine where two separate camshafts are used for each set of valves.

The riding position is equally comfortable in touring, congested urban riding & suburban areas, for both the rider and the pillion. Functional shape of seat allows the rider to enjoy even long ride with comfort and ease.
