NewZNew (New Delhi) : Committed to accelerating the mobile data penetration in the country, Idea Cellular, one of India’s largest telecom operators has announced the launch of a new 3G wifi dongle – ‘Smartwifi Hub’. The dongle allows high speed 3G data connectivity across up to 10 devices, and does not need to be connected to a laptop or a device for power supply.
The dongle connects up to 10 devices with a download speed of 21.6 Mbps and an upload speed of 11 Mbps. Laptops, phones, tablets and music players can be connected at the same time, to the Smart wifi Hub, enabling the users to manage multiple devices across the same network. It is completely portable with no wires and /or software to install.
The 1500mAh in-built battery of the dongle provides the users with uninterrupted connectivity for hours making it ideal for indoor as well as outdoor usage.
The device is compatible on 900 MHz and 2100 MHz bands, a first of its kind in India, and is targeted towards SOHO (small office and home office) users.
The device comes bundled with 6GB 3G data for one month and is compatible with all major operating systems and is priced as Rs. 2999. The dongle will be available in all key 3G markets of Idea Cellular.
