The one-of-a-kind Interior-Exterior show kick-starts at Parade Ground, exhibits a myriad range of facets from Architecture, Construction & Décor
The four-day interior-exterior show, INT-EXT Expo 2018 was inaugurated today at Parade Ground, Sector 17, Chandigarh. This mega show is being organized by Indian Institute of Architects, Punjab Chapter, and Udan Media & Communications Pvt Ltd. The exhibition breaks down into three sections, each covering a different facet of Architecture, Construction & Home Décor.
As you step into this inimitable expo, you’ll breathe new life into the comprehensive world of interiors & architecture. The exhibition incorporates a multifarious portico into the new pictorial elements, designs and colour palettes that have sneaked into interior designing & architecture over the last few years. For all those looking forward to refurbishing the interiors of their homes & offices, this expo proves to be a blessing in disguise.

While Rialto Lifestyle showcased an idiosyncratic work that provided the visitors a chance to see new & unconventional furniture, Modern Safety Doors endowed with exquisite eco-friendly doors which had a luxury door frame design, reinforced hinge, high-quality lock, anti-pry side lock, wood veneer surface, and stainless steel doorsill. From window & composite doors to bathroom glass door & maharaja door, this stall had it all.
The Wood Home & Janta Furniture from Ambala City was appreciated for its solid wood carved furniture. Woodver Coatings Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with Verinlegno S.P.A. Italy, the first Italian company to start the production of wood coatings in India with Italian technology added another feather to the hat of INT-EXT Expo 2018.
Architect Surinder Bahga, member Advisory Committee on UTs to Home Ministry of India, said, “The INT-EXT Expo 2018 is a millennial initiative to pay an ode to the latest trends. In today’s fast-paced world, it is quintessential to stay abreast with the evolving trend-setters in the interiors & architectural industry and needless to say, this expo stands testament to the same.”
He further apprised the Architects’ Meet which is scheduled to take place on February 3rd. The meeting will deliberate on the ‘Liabilities of Architects.’
Sustainable water management solutions were chronicled by ‘Purever water tank’. Its technological proficiency with special emphasis on customized water storage tank with five layers promised to be a pure & healthy decision for water. “The concrete and plastic tanks are very harmful to health and may cause diseases like breast cancer, diabetes, male impotence & various other heart diseases. So, we provide tanks with five layer technology wherein three layers are of insulation for saving energy, ensuring hygiene & weather resistance”, said Aditya.
The expo also sowed seeds of goodness as Ajit Nursery from Mohali attracted various visitors for its plants including bonsai, pine tree dwarf, spider plant, and song of India. For all the foodies out there, Rajasthan Foods proved to be the magnet spot for its delectable range of papads & other spices.
Other highlights of the expo included designer fans, home automation, dining sets, office furniture, ethnic & carved furniture, decorative lamps & lights, cutlery & crockery, pots &murals, blinds, aquariums, artefacts & handicrafts, bunker beds, glass paintings and a range of other decorative items.

Thereby taking the architectural scene a notch higher in Chandigarh”, said Ar. Sanjay Goel, Chairman – Punjab Chapter, Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) and Director, Ludhiana Smart City Ltd.
The first day of the expo showcased over 200 exhibitors who put their best foot forward with the latest trends, demonstrating the millennial architects’ & interior designers’ approach to aesthetic consistency & design ethos. The exhibition will remain open from 10 am to 7 pm daily from February 2 to 5, the entry for which is free.
