BCCI has asked all 6 skippers of IPL teams to refrain from attending the inaugural ceremony due to a goof up in the schedule.

“We are aware that there are some logistical issues that have cropped up. It will be sorted at the earliest. I think captains will be called a day earlier and their portion will be shot & shown during the opening ceremony,: C K Khanna, the acting president of the BCCI said.
