Meant for their relief and rehabilitation, the sum will be deposited in CM’s Relief Fund
NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Reaching out to the earthquake victims in Nepal, where the natural calamity has claimed thousands of lives, J90, a mixed-use project of Mona Townships Pvt Ltd in Mohali, has donated a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh for their relief and rehabilitation to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund through the Punjab Red Cross Society.
Mona Townships Pvt Ltd Chairman Tejinder Pal Setia presented a cheque for Rs 1.5 lakh to Mohali Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu at the DC office here on Wednesday.
“This is only a small gesture to express our solidarity with the families devastated by the recent earthquake in Nepal. Let’s all contribute to the reconstruction of the neighbouring country in whatever way we can,” said Mona Townships Pvt Ltd Chairman Tejinder Pal Setia.
Earlier this year, Mona Townships Pvt Ltd had donated a sum of more than Rs 1 lakh to Rotary Club, Chandigarh for supporting social welfare initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, SAS Nagar Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said, “We are extremely happy with this association with Mona Townships Pvt Ltd and owe a big thanks to Mr Tejinder Pal Setia and Mona Townships Pvt Ltd Director Sagar Setia, who are mobilising contributions for relief work. This is a noble cause and we should all come forward and contribute generously for the relief of Nepal quake victims. The Punjab government will extend wholehearted support for their rehabilitation.”
J90 is an upcoming state-of-the-art mixed-use project in Sector 90, Mohali. Its underlying theme is “Growth Reinvented”. The motto of the project, “Live, Work, Grow”, is reflected in the fact that it allows people to live in a residential apartment and own an office space in the same complex.
