The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the admit card for the Joint Entrance Examination, i.e. JEE Main 2018 on its official website, jeemain.nic.in. JEE Main Admit Card, released on March 12 has been issued with subject to candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria for admission. Aspirants must login with their application number and password to avail their admit cards.

As per JEE Main 2018 Information Bulletin, issued by CBSE, students must have read that their JEE Main 2018 admit cards will be issued and made available to download from the official website in the 2nd or 3rd week of March 2018. JEE Main 2018 offline exam will be held on April 08 while the online exam will take place on April 15 and 16.

However, though the whole process of downloading JEE Main 2018 Admit Card is simple, it’s better to have all the facts correct. The article sheds light on all the necessary information regarding their admit card, from the process of downloading it to the instructions printed on it.

Steps to Download JEE Main 2018 Admit Card

First of all, students should note that the admit cards are only available in the online mode and to those who are registered. There is a separate link available on the official website stating “Download Admit Card of JEE (Main) – 2018”. After clicking on the link, students will be asked to enter their JEE Main 2018 application number, password and an on the spot generated security pin.

Once the students have entered all the details correctly, they have to click on the “Login” option present at the end. If all the required details are correct, the admit card of that particular student will be displayed on the screen. But, if in any case, any students’ details are incorrect, an error will occur and the incorrect/invalid detail will be informed to that student on the screen in red colour text. After this, the student has to re-enter the correct details.

As soon as their admit card is available, it is advised to the students to carefully check all the details twice and take a print out of the same. Well, these are the steps that are needed to be followed by the students in order to download their JEE Main 2018 Admit Card.

While checking the details, the student should remember that all the details in the Admit Card should match with the details that were given by them at the time of filing of the application form.

If there is any discrepancy found in the admit card, it should be immediately notified. In case any student fails to do so, it could result in the disqualification at the time of exam or the admissions. Instructions on JEE Main 2018 Admit Card

Candidates must check the instructions mentioned on their respective JEE Main admit cards some of which have been mentioned below.

  • Candidates will be provided a black ball point pen in the examination hall.
  • They must use only this pen to write particulars on test booklet, answer sheet and darken the circles of response.
  • Candidates are required to reach their respective venues only on the day of exam.
  • No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination at any other centre of examination. The candidate should sit on the seat allotted to him/her.
  • Candidates shall be present at the examination center by 7 AM(IST) for Paper1 and by 12:45 PM(IST) for Paper 2.
  • No candidate, in any case, will be allowed to enter at the exam center after the commencement of the examination in each paper.
