Finally, the wait for JOSAA 2017 candidates is over. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the result for first round allotment for the candidates of 2017-2018. Seat allotment for first round will begin from 29 June, 2017 and run till 3 July, 2017.

Candidates were requested to make online registration and choose their desired institute by June 26, 2017. Now they have to secure the admission for the institutes allotted to them on the base of first round result by July 3, 2017.

Josaa 2017 – First allotment result

• Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JOSAA) has declared the result for first round seat allotment on June 28, 2017.
• Candidates can check the result on official website of Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JOSAA)  i.e. Josaa.nic.in
• The courses offered under Joint Seat Allotment Authority (JOSAA) examination are IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs
• First Round Result Date: 28.06.2017
• Josaa 2017 candidates who will be reporting at NIT Sikkim should note that for BTech admissions, the administration has arranged for another venue at Siliguri, West Bengals. Thus, candidates can choose either of the locations to report for their admissions.
• Candidates must make a note that Mechanical Engineering programme has been withdrawn from National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT Ranchi).
• Candidates will get admission to these Institutes through a single platform.

Josaa candidates can check for admission to desired institutes in second round seat allotment and further five rounds. The important dates for next Josaa 2017 seat allotment rounds are as follows:-

• Log on to Josaa 2017 official website josaa.nic.in
• Click on the link flashing on the homepage, ‘Round 1: View Allotment Result and Pay Seat Acceptance Fee’
• Enter your roll number
• Enter your password and other details( gender, nationality)
• Your result will be displayed
• Take a print out for future reference.

JoSAA 2017 

Human Resources Development Ministry (MHRD) has set up Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2017 to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 97 institutes for the academic year 2017-18.

23 Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), 20 government funded technical institutions (GFTIs), 23 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs),31 National Institute of Technology (NITs) are having 36,000 seats and offering admissions to the students for the year 2017-2018.
