CET seat allotment 2017, KEA Real Allotment result will be declared today by the Karnataka Examinations Authority for merit based admissions into Engineering, Architecture & Agriculture courses. The applicants had already checked the mock seat allotment status published earlier by KEA and now the KEA allotment 2017 will commence the actual seat allocation/ admission process in the professional colleges of Karnataka. The candidates can check KEA CET allotment 2017 from the official website kea.kar.nic.in.
KEA had earlier scheduled the release of mock allotment result on Friday, 23rd June, but the CET allotment (mock) result was published on Saturday. KEA has been making constant delays in the activities related to CET counselling. The first step in the counselling – Document verification was due to end on 21st June, but was later delayed by 1 day, two times. Finally, the certificate verification ended on 23rd June and hence the mock seat allotment was published on the morning of 24th June, instead of 23rd June.
Based on the mock seat allotment results, the applicants were provided with a final opportunity to alter the choices. This includes changing, reordering, deleting and adding of choices of courses/ colleges as per the preference. The applicants had to be given at least 22 hours time for making changes in the options and finally lock them. Also, the revised schedule of option entry published by KEA on 13th June, the CET real allotment will be published after 4 pm today.
KEA said in a statement, “The options entered by the candidates for the first round will remain same for all the rounds of seat allotment. The candidates will not be allowed to enter options again.” The applicants can check the priority of options on the option entry module after logging into the candidate panel. From there, they may delete or alter order of higher options. While the options of colleges & courses available now could not be added in the further rounds, the candidates will be allowed to add new options for any colleges and course that will come into the seat matrix after the first round.
The seat matrix issued by the Government for each discipline will be adopted for CET seat allotment by KEA. The allotment begins with Special Category seat for Physically Disabled, NCC and Sports Category and then the General category. The candidates are required to verify their allotted seat status on KEA website. The confirmation of choices of allotment, payment of fee and downloading of allotment order will open on 27th June. The candidates allotted a seat through KEA Real allotment 2017 can download CET allotment order on or before 30th June, also the last date for reporting to the allotted college is 30th June, before 5.30 pm.
