Kerala Polytechnic trial allotment and trial rank for 2017 admissions has been released today. www.polyadmission.org has published the polytechnic allotment which can be viewed by candidates now after login with their credentials.
The final rank list along with the first allotment result for Polytechnic Admissions 2017-18 in Kerala will be published on 15th June. Directorate of Technical Education is regulating the admissions to six-semester diploma programmes conducted by various Polytechnic Colleges for the academic session 2017-18. The admissions are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed by giving weightage to the marks/ grades obtained in the qualifying examination (SSLC/ THSLC).
DTE had invited online applications for Polytechnic College Admission 2017-18 from May 15 to 29. Admission under Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) is being done for regular seats in government polytechnics, government aided programs/ government seats in Self financing programmes, management seats under Aided programmes and under NCC/ Sports quota.
During the registration window, the students were asked to provide maximum 25 preferred options (programme and institution combination). Based on the options registered by the students, the provisional rank list and trial allotment list was published by DTE on 7th June. The students were also given time till 12th June for making appeal & submitting revised options. Now, based on the revised options, the final rank list and first allotment list for Polytechnic admissions will be published.
There are two streams of diploma programmes: Stream 1 – Diploma in Engineering/ Technology and Stream 2 – Diploma in Commercial Practice/ Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management. Kerala Polytechnic allotment list will be prepared on the basis of the index marks obtained, options exercised and reservation criteria, if applicable. The final rank list and allotment will be published in the official website www.polyadmission.org.
Kerala Polytechnic first allotment list will be published on the official website www.polyadmission.org and the students can check their allotment status by logging into the website. If a student is satisfied with the allotment, he/she should join the allotted college/ program by paying the required fee and submitting certificates. The students are required to download the allotment letter from the official website and report to the Polytechnic College with all the required documents. The list of required documents can be checked from the prospectus of Kerala Polytechnic Admission 2017-18.
The students should note the dates for reporting to the allotted College. Failure in doing so within the stipulated time will result in losing the allotted seat. If a student is not satisfied with the allotted option, he/she will have two choices. First, he/she can wait for allotment to the higher option by retaining the existing allotment. In this case, he/she will have to register the higher options by reporting at any of the Polytechnic Colleges and submitting the certificates. The student will be considered for allotment to his/her higher options, while his/ her initially allotted seat will also remain reserved.
For those students who do not want to take the admission in the allotted seat, he/she will have to report to any of the Polytechnic College and forfeit the existing option. In this case, his/ her current allotted seat will be taken back and only higher options will be considered for further allotment. The students should report to the Polytechnic College on or before the last date – 20th June. The second allotment list will be published on 24th June, while the classes for 1st semester will being from 17th July.
