SCERT Odisha entrance exam was conducted yesterday successfully. SCERT Odisha answer key 2017 for the entrance examination for admission to this year’s courses will expectedly be released on July 12 or July 13. Read on to know more.

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Odisha, and The Directorate of Teacher Education conducted the admission test for multiple teacher education courses today on 9th July. The SCERT entrance exam has been organised for admission to D.El.Ed., Diploma in Art Education (Visual), B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education), B.H.Ed., M.Ed. and M.Phil (Education) courses. SCERT Odisha conducted the entrance exam in two shifts today. While the entrance test for D.El.Ed., M.Ed., M.Phil & Diploma in Art Education was conducted in the morning shift from 10 am to 12 noon, the test for remaining courses (B.Ed. & B.H.Ed.) was conducted in the afternoon shift from 2 pm to 4.30 pm. The entrance exam was conducted at the district headquarters of all 30 districts and Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Rourkela. SCERT Odisha had earlier issued the admit cards on July 1 for all eligible applicants.

Exam Pattern: The entrance test for D.El.Ed. and Diploma in Art Education (Visual) comprised of 100 multiple choice questions. The questions were divided in two sections: Section 1 – Language (English), Reasoning, General Awareness & Teaching Aptitude carried 40 marks, while Section 2 – Odia/ Telugu/ Urdu, Mathematics, Social Science & Science carried 60 marks. The entrance test for M.Ed. also comprised of 100 multiple choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. The M.Phil entrance test also had 100 questions of Master Degree (in Education) level.

SCERT Odisha entrance 2017 of B.Ed. (Arts & Science group) and B.H.Ed. course comprised of 2 papers. Paper 1 was common for both courses and comprises of 50 multiple choice questions on Language (English), Education & General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. Paper 2 for B.Ed. course was divided in two sections: Section A for Arts group candidates and Section B for Science group candidates. Each section had 100 questions of 1 mark each. The Paper 2 of B.H.Ed. course comprised of two subjects – Hindi and Odia. Each subject carried 50 marks. Overall, the entrance test carried total 150 marks.

SCERT Odisha answer key 2017 is expected to be released by the authorities in next few days and the same will be provided here for the candidates appeared for today’s entrance test. The admissions to the courses is proposed to be made on the basis of merit list which will be prepared by taking into consideration the candidates’ performance in the entrance test.

The state-level entrance exam has been conducted by SCERT Odisha for admission to around 6,650 seats in D.El.Ed. course, 2,000 seats in B.Ed., 250 seats in M.Ed., 75 seats in B.H.Ed., 50 seats in Diploma in Art Education (Visual) and 36 seats in M.Phil. The admissions in these seats will be made on the basis of performance in the entrance exam across all DIETs, BIETs, government and non-government teacher education institutions.
