When repairmen opened up an ATM in Assam’s Tinsukia district after it was reported to have broken down, they found shreds of currency notes inside the box.

Reportedly, about 212.38 lakhs cash in denominations of 500 and 2000 was destroyed by mice which managed to enter the machine. As pictures went viral on social media, many are raising doubts.
