In a unique event 1200 students attempt to eat a samosa simultaneously

NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Samosas are perhaps one of the most loved snack items all across India, though the Samosa has Arabic origins, this humble snack has rose to fame in India as it is loved all across, be it Delhi or Kochi nobody hates a Samosa.

Taking this into consideration, Chitkara University and Little App (India’s premiere App for Deals on everything near you!) joined hands & attempted to earn a place in the prestigious Limca Book of Records by setting a record titled “Most number of people eating a Samosa simultaneously”. This feat was attempted today at Chitkara University Punjab Campus with 1200 students.

Speaking on the occasion Manish Chopra & Satish Mani, the Co-founders of Little App,  said “we all love Samosa’s, don’t we? . This is definitely something unique that no one has attempted before. Preparing 1200 plus Samosas and coordinating this entire event was no doubt a mammoth task and surely it was a fruitful one that will be remembered for long.”

Mr. Mohit Chikara from Chitkara Educational Trust further added that “This was a great activity for our students; we decided to attempt this record with more than 1200 students. There was a great deal of excitement, not just from the student’s side but also from the entire staff and faculty as such an event has not taken place in India yet. At Chitkara we always strive to be different and be better than the rest.

As part of their CSR activity both the organizations distributed equal number of Samosas consumed by the students to poor & needy children in and around the area.
