NewZNew (Bathinda) : The modernization of Suwidha Center, being done at Rs 70 lacs, would be completed by March 1 providing better services to the people of Bathinda. Giving information in this context here today, the Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garg stated that the new center would have more area meant for the people visiting the center. The new waiting hall would have capacity of accommodating 150 to 200 people at a time. To make the Suwidha Center building eco-friendly proper ventilation and sunlight would be ensured by installing glasses and ventilators, which would save power consumption too, he said.
He added that the medical tests of the driving licences’ applicants would be done at the center itself for which separate cabin is being provided. Similarly, separate counter is being set up to provide Aadhar card enrollment services. Giving people major relief, the Bathinda’s Suwidha Center offers 41 services at 37 counters and a footfall of 1000 to 1200 persons per day.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the services provided include counter signing of document, issuance of caste certificates, handicapped certificates, document attestation, late entry of birth and death certificate, shagun scheme, copy of old registry, death certificates, marriage certificates, driving licence related services, fitness certificate for driving licence, submit of passport applications, arm licence related service, ration card related and many others services.
