The MP said that Jalandhar is a major industrial city of the state and is also an NRI hub, hence, the stoppage of this train at Jalandhar will greatly benefit the entrepreneurs, businessmen and NRIs who will get a chance to travel in this high speed train between Jalandhar and New Delhi. Rinku said that if there is a stoppage of Vande Bharat at Ludhiana and Ambala stations then there should definitely be one at Jalandhar also. This will not only benefit the Railways but will also save precious time of the people of Doaba region. He said that earlier the Vande Bharat Express which runs between New Delhi-Katra was also not given a stoppage in Jalandhar due to which the people here were disappointed. Therefore, now Jalandhar should be included in the upcoming Delhi-Amritsar Vande Bharat Express.

MP Rinku told the Railway Minister that Jalandhar is a big station of Punjab. Thousands of passengers come to this station every day. The biggest beneficiaries of Vande Bharat will be traders and businessmen for whom time is very precious. If the train stops at Jalandhar, the revenue of the Railways will also increase. He said that people are disappointed due to Vande Bharat not having a stoppage in Jalandhar. He hoped that his demand will be fulfilled soon.

The distance between New Delhi and Amritsar is 450 kilometers and Vande Bharat Express will cover this distance in just 5 hours. Railways has fixed the timing of Vande Bharat with its schedule getting released  already. This train will depart time from Amritsar at 7.55 am and will reach Delhi at 1.05 am. MP Sushil Rinku has expressed hope that Railways will take a positive stance on his demand and Jalandhar will be included in the stoppage of this train.
