MILKING COMPETITIONS, EQUESTRIAN RACE TO BE ATTRACTION ON THIRD DAY

SEMINAR TO BE HELD ON ANIMAL FODDER, DIET

NewZNew (Sri Muktsar Sahib) : The attraction on third day of National Livestock Championship Jan 10, being organized by animal husbandry, fishery and dairy development department, would be the milking competitions and horses’ race.  The equestrians’ races would be held at village Charhewan, while the milking competitions would be held at Sri Muktsar Sahib itself.

In the milking competitions the murrah and neeli raavi buffaloes, HF cross, jersey, sahiwal and other indigenous cows and goats would participate. For the both the breeds of buffaloes and cows’ HF and sahiwal breeds first prize has been reserved for Rs 1.5 lacs, second prize would be Rs 1 lac and the third winner would get Rs 51, 000. In the goats’ milking competition the winner of first position would get Rs 21000.

Besides this on Saturday competitions of different animals’ breeds would also be held. On Jan 10 competitions of nukra and Marwari mares (any age), donkeys, mules, raavi and murrah buffalo any age, neeli raavi and murrah breed young female calves, pigs etc would also be held. Stunts with spears would also be performed.

Besides this Livestock Expo 2015 would have a string of seminars under which on Jan 10 duirng morning session seminars would be held on animal fodder and diet at 10 am and at 2 pm on possibilities of dairy farming business. Herein the subject experts would give information on the latest scientific inventions and its usage in the dairy farming business.
