NIPER Mohali to Host 5th Edition of Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan-2025 Conclave from October 31: Under the aegis of the Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyaan-2025 (SMA-2025), the 5th Edition of this Mahakumbh would be held at NIPER Mohali from 31st October to 2nd November 2025.
The theme for this edition will be “Classroom to Society: Building a Healthier World through Education” The conclave will bring together leaders from academia, research, industry, and policy to reimagine the future of education in Bharat.
The previous four editions were held at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Srinagar and Kurukshetra University, respectively. With each passing edition, SMA is witnessing an increased participation by academia, Industry and Scholars. The number of Research Paper submissions and Project showcases have consistently grown over the years.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Chandigarh Press Club, Prof. Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER Mohali, said, “SMA 2025 will serve as a powerful platform to align educational thought with societal needs. At NIPER, we strongly believe that education must not remain confined to classrooms but must contribute to building a healthier, more resilient world. Hosting this edition at our campus is a matter of pride, and we look forward to global collaborations and actionable outcomes.”
Prof. Deepti Dharmani, Vice Chancellor, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani & Vice President, Vidya Bharti North Zone, added, “The Shiksha Mahakumbh has emerged as a national movement, connecting education with innovation, values, and cultural ethos. The event was graced by Sh. Vijay Nadda ji, Organising Secretary, Vidya Bharati, North Zone, who’s vision and guidance has been a constant force behind the success of this Abhiyaan.
Dr. Thakur SKR, Director, Department of Holistic Education, said, organised by the Department of Holistic Education (DHE) in collaboration with NIPER Mohali and supported by leading state and central institutions, the 5th edition will feature: 12 National-level Conclaves for Vice-Chancellors, Directors, teachers, researchers, innovators, and policymakers; Paper presentations across sciences, engineering, social sciences, Indian knowledge systems, education technology, and sustainability; Student-centric programmes including the National Tinkering Challenge, Vidyarthi Sanskar Sammelan, Bharat Yatra Quiz, and English Olympiad and Startup showcases, Exhibitions, Cultural performances, and Awards.
Mr. Saurabh Chaudhary, President, Department of Holistic Education, said, “Over the years, SMA has inspired several initiatives like Tredul, Sarvatra, Swadeshi Bazaar, Jobs 360°, TuDu, Holistic Harbour, various Olympiads —bridging education with society’s real needs.”
