Seven Day/Night special camp at DAV College, Chandigarh concluded today with a colourful cultural programme . This camp with the theme ‘Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat’ was attended by 200 volunteers along with four programme officers.The camp activities included cleanliness drives and awareness programmes in the campus and in the adopted village Dhanas. There were several motivational lectures, physical fitness and meditation sessions.
Self defence training for volunteers by UT Police Department of two hours daily was also the part of this week long camp. Dr. Bikram Rana , State Liasion Officer NSS UT Chandigarh was the Chief guest for the closing ceremony. He delivered the valedictory lecture and gave away the prizes and honours to the outstanding volunteers of the session. Dr. Kulvir Dhindsa, Programming Officer NSS presented the report of the NSS activities during this special camp. The cultural program well presented by the enthusiastic volunteers included Saraswati Vandana, Western Dance, Nukkar Natak highlighting the need of cleanliness, Himachali Naati and Bhangra performances
