NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Oakridge International School organized Stage crafters, an Inter School One Act Play in the school premises. Many schools of tricity took part in the competition and showcased best of their performances. Pravesh Sethi, a renowned theatre artist and a famous director who also received the National Award for his contribution in the field of theatre, graced the occasion and judged the performances of various schools.
The acts performed by various Schools highlighted the burning issues of the society like corruption, pollution, women exploitation; law and order etc. in their one act play and touched everyone’s hearts with their performances. St. Johns School, Chandigarh and Doon International School, Mohali shared the first position followed by Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh and Oakridge International School, Mohali. Director Parvesh Sethi awarded the winners and shared with them the importance of theatre and his experiences as an artist.
Ramanjit Ghuman, the Principal of the School, congratulated the winners for their wonderful performance and wished them well for the same in future also. She stated that today the stage has become a new classroom and the children learn much more that what books can offer.
