Public Library at Don Bosco Savera inaugurated: In order to create interest in reading among children, child friendly City initiative has taken a campaign “Read Chandigarh Read” under this initiative an effort is made to have children libraries in different part of city special in slums colonies and villages the first of this sort is being inaugurated at Don Bosco Savera by IAS BL Sharma Secretary Education and Social Welfare Chandigarh.
The library is set up in collaboration with smile Foundation, Rotary Club Shivalik, St Stephen School and Don Bosco.
The library will be open to children from Monday to Friday from 10 to 5 children can come, sit and read any book they like. People and Institutions are encouraged to donate old books which are in good condition so that it can be made available to the children those who wish to donate books can contact at Don Bosco Navjeevan Society Sector 24 any day .
