NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Punjab National Bank ( PNB ), Lead Bank of UT Chandigarh & Life Insurance Corporation of India ( LIC ) conducted a town hall meeting today on 31st August, 2015 at Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School Auditorium in Sector 27, Chandigarh. The meeting was arranged to promote and popularize Social Security Schemes launched by Government of India namely, Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, ( PMJJBY ), Prime Minister Suraksha Bima Yojana ( PMSBY ), Atal Pension Yojana ( APY ) & Micro Unit Development & Refinance Agency ( Mudra ). More than 900 people participated in the Programme.
Ms Bhawna Garg Municipal Commissioner, Shri Virender Chaudhary Joint Commissioner, Shri S K Dua, Circle Head from Punjab National Bank, Shri Sham Lal, Sr BM, Shri Ish Munjal AGM OIC, and other officials from LIC, Punjab National Bank and other Banks attended the function. Shri Mukesh Kumar, AGM, SIDBI, Shri Govind Ram Seth, PFRDA, & Shri Vivek Trivedi, Social Development Officer also addressed the gathering. The function was compered and moderated by Shri R KK Rishi, Manager, PNB, Sector 8. The vote of thanks was given by Shri P N Khanna LDM, Chandigarh
People actively participated in the programme and raised various queries which were answered by the officials present. At the end of the function Shri S K Dua, Circle Head, PNB, Chandigarh told that “ the aim of banks of UT Chandigarh is to remain No. 1 in the implementation of Social Security Schemes of the Government at all India level.” . He called upon BCAs & Bankers present on the occasion to mobilize more & more people to come forward to avail benefits from all these Schemes of PMJDY.
Shri Sham Lal Sr Branch Manager, LIC told that LIC‘s aim was to cover maximum people under Age Group 18-50 under PMJJBY Scheme.
