Strives to provide the cleanest cinema chain in India
NewZNew (Jalandhar) : With an earnest attempt to provide the cleanest cinema chain in India, PVR adopted the Swachha Bharat Abhiyan as Swachha PVR Drive / Clean PVR Campaign across all its multiplexes. The 45 day campaign that kick started from 20th January, 2015, is a pan India campaign which is conducted across 44 cities with an inclusion of approximately 3000 PVR staff in all 104 multiplexes.
On 17th February the Clean PVR Campaign witnessed the enthusiastic PVR staff coming out of their corporate offices cleaning with brooms and mops and taking the initiative to make Punjab a cleaner and healthier state. The activity was carried in PVR multiplexes at Elante mall (Chandigarh), MBD mall (Jalandhar) and Silver Arc mall (Ludhiana) of Punjab. The campaign stands as one of the strongest forums that brings the PVR staff together to engage, motivate, appreciate and celebrate the spirit of cleanliness.
Punjab saw an aggressive Swachha drive last October where Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal took the lead at the state-level. PVR, which is known for its magnanimous, elitist multiplexes would now take the baton to provide an equally enthusiastic program, where corporates would come and inculcate a cleanliness culture.
Mr. Gautam Dutta, CEO PVR Ltd. said “We are proud of this initiative. This activity is not only confined to PVR’s housecleaning department, but is a participative routine for all ranks. We are not only ensuring a clean PVR multiplex inside but a clean PVR campus for a healthy India.”
The cleanliness drive witnessed the entire staff, from the multiplex manager to the house keeping staff leaving no stones unturned to make it a successful endeavor. Not only the multiplexes but even the parking area, front and backside of the malls, which are often neglected, would see a complete facelift by PVR staff.
The campaign would also see a special felicitation and award session. Every day, the best performing PVR staff will be awarded as “Aajka hero”post a complete analysis of the multiplex campus.
