NewZNew (Bathinda) : The Congress MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu today arrested on the orders of Bathinda Court.

Bathinda court orders to arrest Bittu in a case registerd in Bathinda on non-bailable offence. The Court of Sh. Randeep Kumar, Judicial Magistrate, 1st class, remanded them to judicial custody till 19th of October. They were accordingly sent to jail.

Two separate cases under non-bailable offences was registered against them and several other Congressmen by Bathinda police in Canal Lane and Civil Lines Police Stations.

It may be recalled that Bittu alongwith other Congress leaders and workers had staged a protest in Bathinda on Sept 30 in support of agitating farmers who had lost their cotton crops due to whitefly attack in the state.

However, they were booked for damaging government property and for mishandling policemen in uniform.
