NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Rayat Bahra University (RBU), India and Arkansas State University (ASU), United States of America have signed a MoU for the Internship and Student Exchange program. The University officials from Arkansas State University visited the Rayat-Bahra University for an information session with the students and university team. Dr. Thillainatarajan Sivakumaran (Executive Director of Global Initiatives), Dr. Paul Mixon (Interim Dean and Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering), Dr. Shivan Haran (Director & Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Kiran More (Representative- South Asia, ASU) and Mr.Rajan (Representative- North India, ASU) were welcomed by Dr. S.K Bansal, Vice- Chancellor, Rayat- Bahra University.
Dr. Thillainatarajan Sivakumaran shared with the students about the rising prices in the U.S for higher studies and said that the cost of higher education in their Arkansas State University is 27 % less than the U.S Average. He also highlighted about the infrastructure and exposure that the students will have, ones opting for the internship or exchange program.
Rayat–Bahra University has come forwarded to provide students opportunities to study abroad at affordable prices said Dr.sk bansal vice chancellor of RBU.he also shared that the vision of Rayat-Bahra University is to achieve 100 % employability of their students, for which the students are being exposed to various industries from the onset of their courses.
Dr. S.K Bansal said that the prime motive of such international collaboration is to make students more and more employable. He also stated the students to make them capable and industry ready so that they excel. Drsandeep kauraj md and Dr.VRihani were also present at this occasion.
