BATHINDA TO SOON HAVE FOOD PROCESSING TRAINING INSTITUTE
UNION MINISTER INAUGURATES REVAMPED DADI-POTI PARK, LAYS FOUNDATION STONE OF WATER WORKS WORTH CRORES

NewZNew (Bathinda) : The Union Minister Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that the people of Malwa would very soon be gifted Shatabdi Express. She said that within a week the Bathinda-Delhi Shatabdi Express would be flagged off providing much needed relief to Bathinda and Malwa area’s people. The Union Minister said this while interacting with media persons after inaugurating the revamped Dadi-Poti Park flanked by the Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr Sarup Chand Singla.
Answering queries of the media persons the Union Minister for Food Processing Industry said that on December 13 a new chapter would be added to the history of Punjab with inauguration of mega food park in border district Fazilka’s Dabwala Kalan village, which would be state’s first and country’s fourth mega food park. Spread in around 55 acres of land it has been constructed at a cost of Rs 136 cr. He added that very soon a food processing training institute is being opened in Bathinda wherein the youngsters would be imparted training and would be imparted entrepreneur skills.
The union Minister said that compensation announced for the victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots would be announced soon. She was regularly in touch with the center government to get compensation amount for victims. She emphasized that besides compensation, the victims and Sikh brethren would also be delivered justice for which she was in contact with the center government being the guard of Punjabis in union government.
While answering another query of media persons, she added that the center government would soon give Punjab drought relief package. She added that due to the wrong policies of outgoing Congress led UPA government the coffers were empty and it was a tedious task for the Modi government to bring economy back on track. The union government will soon announce drought package for Punjab. She added that there was no shortage of urea in the state. Reacting to a question of religion conversions she said that every person had right to practice ones own religion. Replying to a query on a woman trying to commit suicide in front of Chief Minister’s residence in Chandigarh she said that it was a very unfortunate incident and the government will reach to the root cause of event.
She inaugurated the Dadi-Poti Park that has been upgraded at a cost of Rs 110 lacs and spent time in the reading room of park that has books and newspapers for children and elderly respectively. She added that more such modern parks would be constructed in Bathinda city. Earlier, she laid foundation stone of Rs 2.25 cr water works project in police colony area of Lal Singh Basti. Later she distributed around 70 sewing machines, 17 tricycles and saplings to the people. She called upon people to maintain green environment and save the girl child.
