Students’ throng Mega Canadian Education Fair in large numbers

newznew (Chandigarh) : As many as Forty Five (45) Canadian Colleges & Universities descended at Hotel Taj, to participate in a ‘Mega Canadian Education Fair’. The fair which was organized by Charms Education Services, made it amply clear that Canada was emerging as the most favoured destination for tricity students seeking an education abroad. As many as 400 students registered at the fair to know more about both under graduate & Post Graduate courses in Canada. Rahul Paitka, MD, Charms Education Services said, “After the mega Canadian Education Fair in Chandigarh the fair will be held in Ludhiana’s Hotel Regenta Central Klassic on 3rd April, in Jalandhar on 4th April in Hotel President & Amritsar’s Hotel Holiday Inn will host it on 5th April. We are quite happy with the response in Chandigarh.”

It is noteworthy that while in 2014, 37990 Indian Students came to Canada for studies; this became 48705 in 2015 and in 2016 near about 60,000 Indian students came to Canada to pursue education.

“We gave advice like appropriate college & course of study, special offers like scholarships, application fee waiver & also offered on the spot admissions at the Fair. Students applied for September 2017 & January 2018 intake.” Said Manish Paitka, CEO, Charms Education. According to Seno Thepa, University Representative, Indian Subcontinent, Cape Breton University located in Canada’s Nova Scotia Province, “We have got a very good response. The students are really enthusiastic about pursuing a Canadian Education. We offer many programmes and the unique ones are Petroleum Engineering and Hospitality & Tourism Management.”

 The Canadian Education experts & recruitment heads informed that students from the region were interested mainly in Nursing with Specializations like Critical Care and Gerontology, in Engineering Specializations like Robotics were in vogue, IT too was in demand, in Humanities there was an interest towards Criminology & Psychology and courses in Medical area were also sought after.

Dia Sharma a prospective student said, “The fair gave me an opportunity to meet recruitment heads of colleges spread across Canada. The list of colleges & universities that came was exhaustive.” Jasdeep Singh another prospective student said, “I have got a lot of important information about my eligibility for courses i want to pursue in Canada.”

Students got a chance to meet up with representatives from colleges located in provinces like Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia where because of the

PNP or Provincial Nominee Program, the chances of Permanent Residency increase. A unique aspect of the Fair was that many aspects of this were shown live on the facebook page of the organizing company- Charms Education. In this delegate interviews & live streaming of seminar was shown to prospective students, who were benefited a lot.
