The Strokes of Solitude: An Anthology of Life : After the spurring success story of ‘Configurational Coordinates of Women’s Space in Selected Novels of Shashi Deshpande’ and ‘The Priceless Petals’, Dr Ritu Kamra Kumar is back with her third book, ‘The Strokes of Solitude’.
A thought-intriguing anthology of the detailed observations of life, The Strokes of Solitude was released virtually by motivational speaker and author, Vivek Atray.
While providing an insider’s view into the book, Dr Ritu shared, “The articles compiled in The Strokes of Solitude are my minute observations of life’s experiences. It is a unique expression of my thoughts which exposes the various facets of life; thereby filling my pot of learning with sublime sensibility, exalted experiences, and an emotional enthusiasm.”

An avid writer, poet and an academic, Dr Ritu Kamra Kumar has contributed more than 200 write ups, middles, articles and poems in national newspapers.
Around 30 research papers of hers have been published in national and international research journals and anthologies. She has delivered many extension lectures in colleges, guided M.Phil. students for their dissertation. Her writings range from social subtleties to women’s world and contemporary complexities.
Her area of interest is Feminism, Gender Studies and Postcolonial Studies. She is presently working as an Associate Professor in the Post Graduate Department of English, Mukand Lal National College, Yamunanagar, Haryana.
