NewZNew (Chandigarh) : The Transport Department, Punjab, has implemented e-governance system in order to provide services in electronic mode to the people. Under this system, the work related to the registration of the vehicles has been fully computerized.

Stating this, a spokesperson of the Department said that the department has uploaded information with regard to all the registered vehicles on the website punjabtransport.org.

The spokesperson also said that the general public could check the particulars related to their vehicles by clicking on the link ‘’Registration Data Verification’’ at the website’s home page.  In case of any discrepancy in the particulars of a vehicle, the owner can get it rectified by submitting an application with the concerned District Transport Officer.
