Why are Indians Always late?

In general observation, we Indians have the mentality to compare ourselves with others in a relative manner and feel better/worse about it.

When we are late to office, Ideally we should be like, “I did a bad thing by being late by 15 minutes. I should not repeat it”.Instead, we are like, “Thank goodness I am the first person to reach office so I am better off Why this?
