NewZNew (Chandigarh – Kulbir Singh Kalsi) : Chandigarh based Anovus Institute of Clinical Research bagged the second prize in poster presentation at the recently concluded Chandigarh Science Congress 2015 at Panjab University.
Anovous received the award in Dental Sciences category out of 71 poster presentations, for its presentation on “The Association of Flurosis and Dental Caries with high levels of Fluoride in Drinking Water and its Health Impact” by Dr. Jasmine and Dr. Shelly under the guidance of Anovus faculty Dr. Sanjeev and Dr. Shweta.
Large parts of India are at risk of fluoride toxicity, since it falls within a geographical fluoride-belt extending from Turkey to China, and study highlighted problem of dental fluorosis.
The other category in which our students Sharandeep Kaur and Vaibhav Jain got selected for poster presentation was Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Anovus Institute of Clinical Research, a Regional Centre of Punjab Technical University, is a pioneer in Clinical Research for the last six years in this part of the country and is training and guiding the young scientists for innovation in research.
