Mr Abhijit Singh, Facility Director – Fortis Mohali, doctors of Fortis Cancer Institute and Mrs Bittu Sandhu lit the ceremonial lamp to start proceedings. A song by breast cancer survivor Mrs Satinder Bedi and dance to a soulful Hindi melody by another cancer survivor Mrs Usha set the tone for the celebrations. Mrs Inderpreet Kaur, a volunteer who spends countless hours each day at Fortis Cancer Institute, counseling and motivating patients and attendants, was honoured on the occasion.

The ‘dandiya’ performance with participants dressed in various hues of pink capped a delightful day out.

Mr Abhijit Singh, the Facility Director of Fortis Mohali, said, “Such occasions are a great opportunity for us to implement our community connect initiatives. During breast cancer awareness month there could not have been a better way than have our brave survivors share their stories and inspire with their courage and positivity.”
