DEV SAMAJ COLLEGE: CHANDIGARH TRAFFIC POLICE EDUCATES WOMEN STUDENTS ON IMPORTANCE OF WEARING HELMETS
National Service Scheme(NSS) Unit of Dev Samaj College of Education, Sector 36-B, here organized an informative and valuable talk on Road Safety in collaboration with Chandigarh Traffic Police. The Team headed by Inspector Sita Devi consisted of Head Constable Bhupinder Singh, Head Constable Jagroop Singh & Head Constable Rajiv. The team delivered a talk on Road Safety and importance of wearing helmets for women.
The team enlightened the NSS volunteers of the college by showing the PPTs and the video footage of the accidents that have happened due to the negligence of the road safety rules by people. The focus was on making women understand the importance of wearing a helmet while driving a two wheeler. Inspector Sita Devi addressed the students and informed about the offence in regard to the traffic rules.
At the end of the session a quiz was conducted and the winners were awarded with trophies which was followed by a pledge on road safety taken by the Principal, Staff and the NSS volunteers of the college. The Guest of Honour on this occasion was Dr. Madhu Prashar, Member Council Dev Samaj & Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education, Ferozpur. Dr. Agnese Dhillon, Principal of the College presented the vote of thanks to the Chandigarh Traffic Police Team for their informative talk and congratulated the NSS Programme Officers Dr. Neeru Malik and Ms. Rajbir Kaur for successfully organizing the talk.
