Engineering Students of CGC Jhanjeri got Offers from Leading Companies


NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : Engineering students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, bagged job offers from 29 leading companies of India. Although the results of their final semester examinations are yet to be declared by PTU. The students of very 1st batch passing out in July 2016 are successful in getting selected in companies like Microsoft, SAP Labs, Deloitte, Accenture, Hewlett Packard and many more. These students got hefty pay packages of upto Rs. 9 Lakh per annum.  Students selected  by Wipro Tech Ltd. Were 32, Cognizant 26, Capgemini 14, John Deere India 12 and Tech Mahindra 10. Most of the selected students are taking their last semester six months training in their respective companies which will enable them to work on actual projects as soon as their final semester results are available.

Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Presiden,CGC said that the quality of placements of is a matter of pride. Selection of the students in top ranking companies like Microsoft, IBM, Deloitte, Sap Labs, µ- Sigma, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, HP, John Deere, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra etc. proves the standard of education being imparted at this institute. President Dhaliwal further said that every student has a potential the only thing needed is to bring out the hidden talent of a student.

Explaining the placement procedure of CGC, Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General, informed that immediately after admission of a student in this campus, students are asked to think about their future plan after completion of degree. They are suggested four options ,Seeking Placement ,pursuing higher studies in India or Abroad , Starting own company/industry and becoming an entrepreneur , appearing in some competitive exams like IAS, IES, GATE, CAT etc. After taking options from the students, they are given training relevant to their choice. According to him due to well-planned policy and untiring efforts of trainers and students has brought success.
