NewZNew (S A S Nagar) : The students of Oakridge International School, Mohali commemorated the Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-Violence. Speeches were delivered by the students highlighting the birth, life and contributions of the father of the nation in the freedom struggle of our country.

Later, Students also presented a play showcasing almost every the important event of the life of the great leader while giving the message to follow the preachings of Gandhiji always ,speak the truth and follow the path of nonviolence as their guiding light in life. Eye catching dance performance with the theme peace was also staged by the students .The final touch was given by senior students who gave a very beautiful presentation Gandhiji.

Ramanjit Ghuman, the Principal of the school, applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them to always remember the sacrifices of our great leaders and follow their footsteps as a tribute to them. She further added that Mahatma Gandhi, revered throughout the world for his wisdom, fight for freedom and his deep spiritual understanding.
