Polytechnic Allotment is scheduled to be declared today for admissions in Polytechnic Colleges of Kerala. The Directorate of Technical Education, Thiruvananthapuram is holding merit-based admissions to six-semester diploma courses offered by 71 Government/ Government Aided/ Self-financing Polytechnic Colleges in the State. The registered applicants can check Kerala Polytechnic first allotment from the official website of Poly admission, i.e. polyadmission.org.
As per the seat matrix approved by DTE, total 11,670 seats are available in 51 government & government-aided Polytechnic colleges, apart from 3,055 seats in Self-financing institutions for the academic session 2017-18. “The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit assessed by considering the marks/ grades secured by the students in qualifying exam (SSLC/ THSCL)”, DTE said. After being hitched in multiple court cases, finally the Poly admission process is underway now.
Polytechnic allotment (trial) and provisional rank list was published for the second time by DTE on July 12 and the students were given four days to appeal & revise their options of courses/ colleges. As per the revised schedule of Polytechnic Counselling, DTE will publish Polytechnic first allotment list today. Also, Polytechnic final rank list will be published by the Directorate which will be used for complete counselling process.
Kerala Polytechnic final rank list and first allotment list will be published by DTE at the CAP website polyadmission.org. The registered students will be able to check their merit status as well as allotment status after logging into the website. The students were given facility to fill maximum 25 choices in the order of preference and if a student gets allotted his/ her highest option, he/ she shall pay the full fee at concerned Polytechnic and confirm admission. The last date for reporting/ joining based on first allotment is July 21, up to 4 pm.
Polytechnic first allotment result will be declared today on 18th July and once the DTE publishes the same, we’ll update the information here. The change in schedule of Polytechnic counselling has delayed the commencement of classes of 1st semester from July 17 to 31. The cut-off date for admission is also July 31 and DTE will complete four rounds of allotments within this duration.
