NewZNew (Ludhiana) : Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology organized a workshop on financial literacy for students. The key note speaker of the lecture was Mohit Sehgal from NJ India Investments. This workshop enlightened the students regarding the need and importance of saving and investment. He shared about Mutual Funds and Market .He also explained about effect of Inflation. This workshop also enhanced the knowledge regarding the various investment options and various factors like inflation, liquidity to be kept in mind while making investment. The entire workshop was centered on developing the habit of saving. He also suggested the ways by which one can manage his or her saving by curtailing their expenses. He further also motivated students to understand Needs vs. Wants   with a focus on long term goal in life.

While speaking about stock exchanges, he gave a vivid account about stock exchanges, kinds of stock market, members dealing in the stock market, career opportunities in stock exchange, the current stock exchange trends in our country and comparison with other foreign stock markets. Elaborating about the various concepts related to shares and stock exchanges, he also gave a detailed account about settlement cycle in stock exchange and such other issues relating to stock markets. He encouraged students to become successful investors by investing wisely to yield better returns. He also clarifies queries and doubts of young minds at the end.

While speaking at the moment Chairman Vijay Gupta said that this workshop covered holistic topics such as investments, business, personal growth, and money management. The tips given during the workshop will help students both financially and in many other aspects of everyday life. Learning these skills prepares individuals to recognize and seize important opportunities as they arrive. And seizing opportunity is one of the best ways to be successful & responsible citizen.
