NGO Nanhe Kadam shares happy moments with Commandos on the Eve of Lohri: With a view of spreading & sharing happiness with the commandos who stake their lives in the service of our country, a Tricity based NGO, Nanhe Kadam today gathered at the Commando Complex near Golf Range at Mohali, Phase 11 and celebrated special Lohri with Commandos and their families.
The occasion turned out to be a truly memorable one for it brought cheers and wonderful smiles on the faces of commandos & their families.
*Renu Goel, Co-Founder, Nanhe Kadam* lit the sacred bonfire along with family members to commence the celebration. The occasion was marked by boliyan, dance, melodious songs besides wonderful engagement sessions which gave gaiety look to the celebrations. The families were traditionally dressed and were absorbed in the festival spirit of Lohri.
NGO Nanhe Kadam continues to take the initiatives that bring contented moments across a spectrum of community members. On the occasion, *Renu Goyal* said, “It’s a tribute to all our soldiers and with an initiative like this, we salute our jawans for their selfless dedication towards the nation.
They stay away from their families for the sake of the nation and guard the frontiers to ensure that we sleep peacefully. Security forces seldom get a chance to celebrate the festival time with their families and hence this small gesture of sharing some happy moments with them & their families truly becomes memorable ’’.
Amid COVID times, while following all safety protocols everyone danced around the bonfire by singing the Lohri songs and made merry thus having a gala time.
