NewZNew (Bathinda) : The district administration today held special camps in 297 villages, nagar councils and the Municipal Corporation Bathinda (MCB) to re-verify the old age pensions and atta-dal pensions that have got omitted during checking.
Giving this information here today the Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma stated that the concerned BDPOs acted as the supervisors and conducted checking in all the villages. He added that the teams seated in these camps were provided lost of omitted beneficiaries and were directed to collect the documents people submitted for re-verification.
He added that in the Bathinda city 1 or 2 camps were held in each of the 50 wards wherein the beneficiaries submitted their proofs. He said that those beneficiaries, whose proofs are found correct, will start getting their pensions again.
He added that certificates are also being taken from the village panchayats mentioning that the teams of government officers have held camp at the respective villages. He added that 5720 pensions of rural areas and 3389 pensions of urban areas had been omitted.
