NewZNew (Panchkula) : To coincide with World Photography Day Saint Soldier’s School, Sector 16, Panchkula organized an Inter-school Photography Competition wherein various schools of the tricity participated with great enthusiasm.
The Chief Guest was Mr. Vijay Mathur Head Photo Editor, The Tribune Chandigarh . He also delivered a talk on photography to the students.
The different categories for the competition were ‘Fun with Sun’, ‘Loving Nature’ and ‘Re – Creation’. Students also made a collage of photographs they took on the theme ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, ‘Patriotism’, ‘Clean India’ and ‘Wild life’. Nitasha Khanna of Saint Soldiers School, Panckula bagged Ist position, Simranjeet Kaur and Preeti Roy of Blue Birds High School bagged IInd and IIIrd positions respectively under ‘Fun with Sun’ category. Under ‘Loving Nature’ category Ist position was bagged by Ritinder Sandhu of Pinegrove School Subathu, IInd position was bagged by Yuvraj Singh of Doon Public School and IIIrd position was bagged by Sanchit Gupta and Ritinder Sandhu of Pinegrove School Subathu. Under the ‘Collage Making’ St Soldier’s School, Panchkula bagged Ist position, IInd position was bagged by Doon public School and IIIrd position went to Blue Bird High School.
“We at St Soldier’s School, Panchkula lay an emphasis of overall development of the child by exposing him or her to different skills, which if gained, can help them in their chosen careers in the future. In the competition, budding photographers got a chance to show their talent in photography & this will certainly enhance their confidence.” Said Renu Dewan, Principal.
