Trident Cup T-20 Tournament

The Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA) has decided to organise a prize money league-cum-knock out Invitational T-20 tournament, being organised jointly by Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliate of Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) and Hara Cricket Club, Ludhiana, in their grounds at Ludhiana from 18th December to 27th December, 2020.

It is worth mentioning that the new executive body of LDCA, took over last month after election under the observance of Former Chief Justice of High Court. Immediately after taking over, LDCA Executive Committee granted affiliation to professionally managed Hara Cricket Club, Ludhiana.

Within a month of taking charge, the LDCA is organising this major tournament to promote cricket and bring normalcy to the game in the Covid era. Informing about the tournament, Bhupinder Singh Sr, former International player & member of the organising committee said that the tournament is sponsored by Trident Group, Ludhiana, and has been approved by PCA. The tournament carries a cash prize of 1.50 lakh for the Winning team and 75,000/- for the Runners-up. The tournament “Trident Cup T-20 Tournament” has now become a part of official calendar of PCA. Prior permission of PCA was taken to organise this tournament and all prescribed precautions of State Govt. in handling COVID 19 situation will be strictly followed. He also informed that the sponsors Trident Group are keen to organise a series of cricket tournaments for all age groups in the coming months as an initiative to promote the game in the entire state of Punjab.
