WBJEEB seat allotment 2017 result out for 2nd round

The seat allotment result for WBJEEB 2017 under 2nd round of counselling, has been announced now. Candidates who have participated in the second round may now visit the WBJEEB website www.wbjeeb.in and check their WBJEEB seat allotment 2017 status.

WBJEEWBJEE 2nd round seat allotment result will be declared today, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board has confirmed. The link has also been updated at the official website of the Board, however, the seat allotment results are yet to be declared. The students can check WBJEE seat allotment result after logging into the official website www.wbjeeb.nic.in.

The common entrance examination for admissions to undergraduate professional courses including B.E., B.Tech/ B.Pharm was conducted by WBJEE Board on April 23 and the results of entrance exam were announced on June 5. Following the publication of results, the Board invited the qualified candidates to register for WBJEE counselling 2017. The online registration and choice filling facility opened on June 12 and as per the schedule, the first round seat allotment result was declared on June 23.

There are total 104 institutions participating in WBJEE counselling for admissions in the academic session 2017-18. This includes 9 government institutions, 86 private self-financing institutions and 9 State-funded Universities/ University departments. There are total 35,174 seats in 42 branches available in these institutes. Of which, 32,125 fall under WBJEE Board and the remaining 3,049 are under JEE Main quota.

After the declaration of WBJEE seat allotment result, the students will be able to check their respective allotment status. The students who will be allotted a seat for the first time will have to pay the seat acceptance fee. The fee can be paid through online mode. Also, the fresh allottees will have to report at the reporting center for document verification. The students who wish to take admission to the allotted institute, they will have to report to the allotted institute.

The facility for document verification at reporting center after 2nd round of seat allotment/ withdrawl of admission/ initial fee payment (fresh allottees) will remain open up to 6 pm on 7th July. The seats remaining vacant due to non-reporting/ withdrawal/ cancellation will be included in the 3rd round of seat allotment.

The seats that have remain vacant after the first seat allotment round were up for the students in the second round. WBJEE seat allotment result can be checked from wbjeeb.nic.in.
