Central University of Punjab Vice-Chancellor meets Badnore: The Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) met the Governor of Punjab V.P. Singh Badnore at Punjab Raj Bhavan at Chandigarh.

During his meeting, Prof. Tiwari appraised Punjab Governor about the establishment & growth of CUPB in the short span of 11 years. He said that the university was setting new benchmarks in education and research, and had become the youngest Central University to be ranked among Top 100 Universities of India with 87th position in NIRF India Rankings 2020. He credited faculty and staff for this achievement

During the interaction, Prof. Tiwari informed that the innovative reforms introduced in National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, truly makes it a Bharat Centric Education Policy that provides a roadmap for Self-Reliant Bharat, the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, of making of a New India.

He shared that currently his vision and mission was to completely implement all the imperatives of NEP-2020 at CUPB and make quality education accessible to all, so that the youngsters of the state could avail the best opportunities at affordable costs. While briefing about his vision to serve the soil of Punjab, Prof Tiwari conveyed that CUPB’s fee structure is the lowest in the state, the only aim of keeping this fee is so low is to make quality education affordable and accessible to all.

Prof. Tiwari also assured that CUPB was committed to create new knowledge through research, provide maximum opportunities for skill-development to youngsters, develop scientific temperament, encourage innovation, & produce global intellectual citizens who would be well-connected to our ancient values.

V.P. Singh Badnore appreciated CUPB Faculty & students the remarkable efforts. He praised Prof. Tiwari for his vision & mission and conveyed his best wishes for future endeavours at CUPB.
