NewZNew (Ludhaina) : Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology, Katani kalan, Ludhiana in collaboration with TiE and PTU organised Entrepreneurship Awareness seminar at its campus .Key note speakers on this occasion were Prof JPS Sibia Head MBA  PTU Nalanda, Karan Checker Founder & CEO ‐ Startup Elves and Harchitvan Singh Associate Director TiE Chandigarh & Punjab.

During his address Prof Sibia shared that entrepreneurs live in possibilities, therefore one should think like an entrepreneur. He emphasised that it’s the mind-set of the entrepreneur that converts idea into innovation and then reality. However, these ideas should be scalable, successful and simple.

CEO ,Startup Elves, Karan Checker shared his personal experiences as an entrepreneur and how he had always kept his learning curve high through initial years of his education and work. He opined that every situation offers a success opportunity.

Vijay Gupta, Chairman , LCET said that such interactive session on various nuances are important to excel in entrepreneur. The objective of this session was to create awareness among students about various facets of entrepreneurship as a career option.

Associate Director, TiE , Harchitvan Singh said  at the moment that  TAP Business Plan Competition which is a joint initiative of TiE Chandigarh & PTU. He further added that, TAP Business Plan Competition provides an opportunity to the students of all the affiliated colleges of PTU to present their business idea in front of a panel of entrepreneurs from TiE and academicians from PTU.TAP will provide an opportunity to the shortlisted teams to get mentoring & support from successful entrepreneurs of the region for a month. On the final presentation day, TiE will give cash prizes of Rs 1, 20,000 to the top 6 teams.
