NewZNew (Bathinda) : The Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mr Surjit Kumar Jyani today conducted surprise checking of the Bathinda civil hospital and took view of the facilities provided to patients. He listened to the problems of patients as well as doctors. He visited the Swine Flu ward and directed the doctors to ensure proper treatment and create more awareness about it.
He also visited the Women and Children Hospital, he enquired about different facilities accorded to expecting women and the new mothers. He also obtained information about the children undergoing treatment. He visited the drug ware house that supplies medicines to eight districts including Mansa, Barnala, Sangrur, Moga, Muktsar, Faridkot and Fazilka.
Mr Jyani stated that proper arrangements have been made to fight against swine flu in the state and there was no shortage of drugs. He directed the civil surgeon Bathinda to ensure that more number of people are made aware of the swine flu. He said that all government hospitals were prepared to treat swine flu patients. Deputy director-cum-civil surgeon Dr Tejwant Singh Randhawa accompanied him.
