- Veteran actor addresses the students during Short Courses
- Graduation Ceremony held at AISF
NewZNew (Chandigarh) : Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) recently held a Graduation Ceremony for their short courses; their 6-month short course of Certificate in Film Acting and their 3-month course of Fundamentals of Script Writing
Renowned film actor, screenwriter, dialogue writer, poet, theatre actor, playwright and director Tanikella Bharani was the Chief Guest for the ceremony. The veteran actor who has worked in more than 750 films (including Tamil, Kannada and Hindi) and who has garnered three Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards, speaking at the event said “ Students need to work hard in this ever-changing and competitive field of film-making to make a mark for yourselves”.
The Film Acting course introduces beginners to the fundamentals of acting and provides them with the foundation necessary to start a career in film and television. introduction to grammar of filmmaking, acting in front of camera and on stage, spontaneous acting vs. method acting mime, imitation, improvisation are amongst a few things learnt as a part of the course.
The Scriptwriting course is aimed at amateur writers who have great ideas for stories and want to learn the process of developing these ideas into film scripts. Identifying the theme and premise of the story, plot construction and developing the treatment and step outline, are amongst a few subjects the students learn.
The short courses at AISFM are designed in a special way for working professionals in the media industry to upgrade existing skills, keep up with changing technologies and to learn new skills that can help their professional development. But they are also an excellent way for non-media professionals to “dip their toe in the water” and try out the world of media.
